The Young Lawyers Section is one of the most active sections of our bar association. Membership in the St. Pete Bar YLS is open to any attorney who has practiced fewer than 5 years or is 36 years old or younger. Each year the Young Lawyers coordinate a number of events for our members including the Morning at the Courthouse, Java with the Judges (monthly), Social Networking Happy Hours at various St. Pete Restaurants (quarterly), an annual CLE seminar, a spring Volleyball/Cornhole Tournament, and Swearing In Ceremonies for new lawyers in the spring and fall. The YLS also supports the community through Habitat for Humanity volunteer days and securing grants that support organizations events such as: Lawyers for Literacy and Holidays in July to benefit less privileged children in Pinellas County.
