The St. Petersburg Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) is temporarily closed. If you’re in need of an attorney and need assistance in determining what type of attorney, please contact the Clearwater Bar Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) at 727-461-4880. All referrals will require a $50 fee and receive a free 30 minute consultation with an attorney.
If you need an attorney in Hillsborough County, contact the Hillsborough County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service at 813-221-7780. All referrals require a $50 fee and receive a free 30 minute consultation with an attorney.

ABOUT THE SELF HELP CENTERS: The Self Help Centers are the result of a collaborative effort between the Clerk's Office, the Sixth Judicial Circuit, the Community Law Program and the Clearwater Bar Association.
The purpose of the Clerk's legal Self Help Centers is to assist Pinellas County citizens representing themselves in court (sometimes referred to as pro se persons) who do NOT have a private attorney. Pinellas County citizens who represent themselves in court and do not already have a private attorney representing them, can now get affordable legal assistance on a limited number of legal issues in the areas of Family Law, Landlord-Tenant issues and Small Claims

Do you want to “Ask A Lawyer” a question?
Sign up to attend an “Ask A Lawyer” monthly seminar. All seminars are held the third Thursday of the month at the Pinellas County Urban League. Each seminar provides a 20 minute overview of an area of the law followed by a 40 minute question and answer segment. Judge Paul H. Roney Essay Scholarship
The St. Petersburg Bar Foundation awards the Judge Paul H. Roney Essay Award to a high school senior student attending a Pinellas County Public or Private or Home School program.
Applicants shall submit an essay of no more than 500 words on the following theme: "What the Law Means to Me.”
The winner of this essay contest will receive a $500.00 cash award and will be invited to attend the St. Petersburg Bar's Law Day Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the Mirror Lake Lyceum located at 737 Third Avenue North. The money will be presented to the winner at that time.
The winning essay will also be featured in the Paraclete, the monthly publication of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, which is distributed to approximately 1,000 lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals in the Tampa Bay area.
