| Jim is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. He is an Adjunct Professor at Stetson University School of Law where he teaches Environmental Hazards of Real Property. Jim focuses his practice on construction law, environmental law and commercial business advice. He represents owners and contractors in all aspects of construction law, including bidding, contract negotiation, surety bonds, ADA issues, construction defect claims and monetary disputes. He routinely handles mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Jim further represents clients in a broad array of environmental issues concerning hazardous substances, contaminated property, Brownfields, asbestos, RCRA, CERCLA, surface and waste water discharges, air emissions, notices of violations and consent decrees. He also advises clients in land use, title, trade regulation, commercial litigation and general business negotiations and advice. Jim received his J.D., cum laude from Indiana University in 1977. |
