The adoption of any new technology which causes deviation from our tried
and true methods of operation is inevitably accompanied by questions, concerns,
and in some instances, resistance. Florida has joined a rapidly expanding group
of states which have enacted Remote Online Notarization laws (“RON”). RON
redefines a process which has existed for hundreds of years. The changes
required in order to adapt  to and live with RON as well as ethical issues
surrounding notarizations, both regular and online, are discussed in this presentation.
