Litigators face several tactical decisions when dealing with aggressive obstructionist opponents.
The part of us that sees trial as a battle wants to fight fire with fire. Ethics, style and certain case-specific
concerns suggest that we stay out of the mud. This seminar will focus on combating these Rambo tactics
from a whole-case perspective including considerations of efficiency, professionalism and client-focus.
Approved for 3.5 hrs. General CLE Credit, including 1 hr. Ethics CLE Credit
Topics Include:
· What is a Rambo lawyer ~ what is acceptable as vigorous advocacy?
· How to handle the obstructive (un-cooperative or un-responsive) lawyer.
· How much do you bring to the judge without suffering adverse consequences?
Time delays, crowded dockets, annoying the judge.

· Getting your case to trial when faced with the obstacles presented by opposing counsel
