Whose Line is it Anyway?
How to Actually Make Your Point in Court

Continuing legal education typically has a routine and tried format: attendees receive the
latest case law; take a trip down memory lane as a veteran attorney recounts past triumphs;
and end with a warning that doomsday is coming upon the conclusion of the next legislative session.

The Civil Trial Section wants to break the CLE mold! “Whose Line Is It Anyway” will include
a series of speakers that will enhance creativity, solidify persuasiveness, and bring out the
storyteller in us all.  How often have you entered chambers or spoken with a judge at the Bench
and Bar and heard commentary regarding lawyers’ need for brevity, precision, and to rid themselves
of attorney-speak?  If you’ve ever read jury feedback, you know that in addition to complaining about
the coffee, jurors often express annoyance at a lawyer’s inability to get to the point.  Join us as we
become more effective communicators! *To see additional details download the flyer below.
