Rachel Drude-Tomori, LL.M. will give a broad overview of her “Top Ten Takeaways” from the 
2019 Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, including tips for counseling clients on fiduciary
selection, dealing with difficult beneficiaries, and planning for minors. She will discuss income 
tax planning opportunities for estate planning clients in the era of increased estate tax exemption, 
as well as the effect of the 2017 Tax Act on marriage and divorce, and creative uses of 
powers of appointment in estate planning.
