What Were They Thinking? Untold Stories From Courtroom X
Thursday, November 1, 2018 ~ Noon to 4pm
St. Petersburg Yacht Club, Regatta Room (Downstairs)
This is a trial seminar for lawyers without lawyers. Typical trial skill seminars involve lawyers
explaining to other lawyers how to effectively try a case: techniques for voir dire, developing a
theme, talking to the jury, and so on. These seminars tell the tale from the lawyers’ point of view,
only, and as such are missing a vital part of the story: How are these techniques perceived by the
end users – the judge and jury? Hear first hand from judges and jurors about what works
and what doesn’t. The seminar’s open discussion format will provide a unique opportunity to
talk directly to judges and jury consultants and will address ethical issues surrounding
diversity on the jury. Don’t miss this chance to take your trial skills to the next level!
