Registration: 11:45 am ~ Lunch & Seminar: 12:00-3:00pm
St. Petersburg Yacht Club, Regatta Room (Downstairs)

This program will focus on how the collaborative law process can minimize the stress on the parties,
their children, and the collaborative team in arriving at a resolution for family law matters. Dr. Costello,
a neutral mental health facilitator, will start with a general discussion of how the collaborative
process works, and why the collaborative process is better than traditional family law litigation for all
parties involved. Attorneys Ky Koch and Lee Greene will then discuss their perspective of comparing
collaborative vs. traditional litigation, examples of how issues can be dealt with much more efficiently in
the collaborative setting, vetting clients for collaborative cases, and setting expectations to prepare
clients for collaborative cases. Todd Burg, a neutral financial expert, will discuss the challenge of
opening discussions and option building related to sensitive issues such as spousal support.
