During the months of April,May and up until June 14th the St. Pete Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and the Pinellas County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (PFAWL) will be collecting new or gently used women's or men's suits.

Suits may be dropped off at:
St. Pete Bar Association Office
2880 1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33713
(between the hours of 10AM and 4PM)

or at St. Pete Bar Member Luncheons
or any PFAWL meeting.

Shirts, ties, belts, and women's blouses/shells are also needed.

All clothing will be distributed at the Salvation Army during the Suit Up St. Pete Program. Suit Up St. Pete provides individuals at the Salvation Army in Midtown St. Petersburg with a resume workshop, an interview workshop, and a suit to prepare them to return to the workforce.

Training Today. Leading Tomorrow.
The Florida Bar Leadership Academy is a multi-session training program designed to assist a diverse and inclusive group of lawyers in becoming better leaders within our profession, in their chosen path, while enhancing their leadership skills.Each year a select group of participants are selected from applications submitted to the Bar to become Academy Fellows.

During their one year term, Academy Fellows follow a curriculum tailored to enhance their professional development, knowledge base and experience, including attending Bar events and special educational programs. Applications to become part of the inaugural class of the Leadership Academy are available March 1, 2013, and will be accepted through April 1, 2013 at 5 pm.

ST. PETE BAR FOUNDATION

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

By now you should know that the St. Pete Bar Foundation purchased a building located at 2880 1st Avenue North (formerly used by the Veteran's Administration and 3000 SF in size). Both the Foundation and the St. Petersburg Bar Association have been located in this building since February 7, 2011.

The inital capital campaign goal was $325,000. While many pledges were received we still need your help to achieve our goal.

Various Gift Opportunities are still available and in addition, naming rights to some of the office areas is still available. As there are limited Naming Opportunities, they are available on a first come, first serve basis and are subject to the terms of the offer.

There is also an opportunity to make a monetary donation/pledge. Cash donors of specific amounts are recognized on donor walls within the building. Certain recognition is available only to those donors who committed to this project prior to December 2010. Details about these Gift Opportunities were presented at the October Membership meeting and are listed in the October Paraclete article below.
