Lawyer Referral Service
Medical-Legal Code (1995)
On 2/15/07 the Bench & Bar Committee discussed and approved posting the 1995 Medical Legal Code on the website, which can be downloaded by clicking on this link. The Bench & Bar Committee members recognize that the enforceability is questionalbe, however, the presence of the Code gives guidance and is better than no guidance at all. The Medical-Legal Liaison Committee ceased to exist several years ago.

Scholarships - These scholarships are given annually at the Law Day Luncheon.
SCHOLARSHP DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
- Judge Paul H. Roney Essay Scholarship - For high school senior students attending a Pinellas County Public or Private or Home School program. This opportunity is available to any Pinellas County High School Senior to submit an essay of no more than 500 words on the following theme: "What the Law Means to Me.” The winner of this contest/scholarship will receive a $500.00 cash award and will be invited to attend the St. Petersburg Bar's Law Day Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Mirror Lake Lyceum located at 737 Third Avenue North . The scholarship money will be presented to the winner at that time. All essays should be submitted to the Law Day Committee Chairperson, Dion Hancook, at dionhancock@yahoo.com. If you have any questions regarding this scholarship, please contact Mr. Hancock via email or at (727) 821-1386.
