Lawyer Referral Service
Medical-Legal Code (1995)
On 2/15/07 the Bench & Bar Committee discussed and approved posting the 1995 Medical Legal Code on the website. CLICK HERE to download a copy. The Bench & Bar Committee members recognize that the enforceability is questionalbe, however, the presence of the Code gives guidance and is better than no guidance at all. The Medical-Legal Liaison Committee ceased to exist several years ago.

Scholarships - These scholarships are given annually at the Law Day Luncheon.
  • Judge Paul H. Roney Essay Scholarship - The St. Petersburg Bar Association awards the Judge Paul H. Roney Essay Scholarship to a high school senior student attending a Pinellas County Public or Private or Home School program. 
  • This opportunity is available to any Pinellas County High School Senior to submit an essay of no more than 500 words on the following theme: "What the Law Means to Me.”
  • The winner of this contest/scholarship will receive a $500.00 cash award and will be invited to attend the St. Petersburg Bar's Law Day Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Mirror Lake Lyceum located at 737 Third Avenue North. The scholarship money will be presented to the winner at that time.
  • The deadline to submit essays for 2014 is Monday, April 21, 2014 by 5:00 PM.
  • All essays should be submitted to the Law Day Committee Chairperson, Caitlin Docherty, at cdoch@brdwlaw.com.
  • If you have any questions regarding this scholarship, please contact Ms. Docherty via email or at (727) 381-2300.

St. Petersburg Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Scholarship - 

  • The St. Petersburg Bar Association awards the Young Lawyers Section Scholarship to a graduating high school senior attending a Pinellas County Public or Private or Home School Program.
