The recent change in family law rules of procedure

Presented by the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the
Clearwater Bar Association Marital & Family Law Sections
This 3 hour CLE will address the recent Amendments to the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure
and how following these rules will benefit clients.  The panel speakers will include Sixth Circuit Judges:
The Honorable Jack Helinger, Administrative Family Law Circuit Court Judge;
The Honorable Kimberly Todd, Circuit Court Judge;
Mary Lou Miller Wagstaff, Esq., Chair,
Family Law Rules Committee;
and Additional Speakers to be announced.

1:00-1:45 p.m.       Historical Perspective: Judge Jack Helinger will provide a historical perspective as to the intent of the rules as well as a review of the cases that led to this change
1:45-3:30 p.m.       Panel Discussion: Panel and attendees will review a fact pattern provided to them which addresses/incorporates a change in the rules. Panel and participants will discuss the procedural issues and then provide an analysis to arrive at a possible conclusion or areas that may be litigated in the future.
3:30-4:00 p.m.       Recommendations & Closing Remarks: Panel will make recommendations to attorneys to incorporate changes in practice to be in compliance.
